DARIN TALBOT SELECTED AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER FOR KEEP TAHOE BLUE DAY AT UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA AT RENO

(RENO, NV) - The League To Save Lake Tahoe has selected Tahoe Troubadour Darin Talbot as keynote speaker for "Keep Tahoe Blue Day", scheduled for Wednesday December 5th, at 11a.m., at the University of Nevada at Reno.

"Keep Tahoe Blue Day" was formed to educate and involve the next generation of student outdoor enthusiasts with the environmental issues impacting Lake Tahoe.

The event, which will be held in the Pine Lounge at the Jot Travis Student Union, will include a Tahoe themed student art show, raffle prizes including free ski passes, complementary food courtesy of Applebee's Bar & Grill, and new music from special guest speaker Darin Talbot.

Talbot, a 27 year resident of Lake Tahoe, writes extreme sport folk rock songs about his coming of age in the region during the pioneering days of snowboarding. He has opened for acts like the Beach Boys and the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and will be performing selections from his second CD, the newly released, "Tahoe Backcountry".

"Darin is Lake Tahoe's very own Jimmy Buffett. He will be able to connect with the students." says Heidi Hill Drum, Communications Director for the League To Save Lake Tahoe. Talbot has gone on record stating quite simply, "Lake Tahoe is an outdoor heaven, and I want to sing about it."

The League To Save Lake Tahoe was formed in 1957 and is a privately funded,
